Finland. Prephilately. Very early and rare courier letter with nice ornament dated Åbo Castle August 12, 1611 by the governor in Åbo (1609-) and treasurer of whole Finland (1609-) Nils Kijll. Participated in Arvid Stålarm's campaign to Dorpat 1603. The letter is sent to Södra Savolinna (Nyslott). Distance about 500 km. Full written content. Kijll was also governor for Nyslott from 1604. A then newly built tower at the Nyslott castle was called "Kil's tower" after him. Fine quality although folded a long time ago.
