Medals, regal, Sweden. Oskar II, French gilt silver medal depicting Emperor Napoleon III, issued by Société des Sauveteurs to Prince Oscar of Sweden 15 August 1865. Engraved by Jules-Clément Chaplain (1839-1909). This medal issued from 1860 to 1880. Has originally had a suspension at top (removed, with traces on rim). Rim inscription "SOCIETE DES SAUVETEURS MEDAILLES DE LA CHARENTE". Interesting piece given to the soon to be Oscar II of Sweden. 1+/01.
