Letter dated in Stockholm on 9.8.1809 sent partly prepaid to Stralsund, Swedish Pomerania, where the letter was exchanged to the P.O. of the Frencg Grande Armée who conveyed the letter for free to the French border. Postmarks STOCKHOLM type 11 and fieldpost mark No. 13 / ARM. D'ALLEMAGNE (Fe/Mü 17-1c). Very scarce, the earliest of only two recorded letters sent from main Sweden with any French Grande Armée mark.
