1024K Sweden K-län. Foreign-related covers. Chile. Unpaid cover sent from MÖRRUM 10.11.1889, addressed to a sailor onboard the Kosmos "Abydos" (German). Cancellations PKXP No 2A UTR 14.11.1889, T, VALPARAISO CHILE 17.DIC.89, and VALPARAISO 10C MULTADA. Very decorative letter paper (partly burst in the foldings) with interesting content about that the sender consciously didn't prepaid for the letter, as according to hearsay, unpaid letters to sailors would arrive safer. 1031K Sweden Foreign-related covers. New South Wales. Unpaid cover with content sent from SÖDERÅKRA 10.6.1888 to Sydney. Cancellations PKXP No 2C UTR N 12.6.1888, BRINDISI 15.6.88 and NAPOLI 17.6.88. Postage due cancellations T and 1/1 MORE TO PAY. Sent under the 1888 contract by Orient Line "Orient" from Naples 18.6, via Port Said 21.6, Suez 22.6 and Aden 27.6, to Albany 14.7 and Adelaide 17.7. Further transportation by rail from Adelaide to Sydney. Pictured in "Sweden in Philately up to 1920". Very scarce pre-UPU usage to Oceania. The only recorded unpaid cover to NSW during this postage period according to Ferdén, and one of the very few unpaid Swedish covers whatsoever sent to Oceania before UPU. EXHIBITION ITEM.
